One of the top facebook posts over Thanksgiving for my clients.
Hi:
I love to “win” a holiday for my clients on social media. Winning defined as some of the most shared and most engaged pieces of content in a particular category using Crowdtangle. Over Thanksgiving one of my clients, Moms Clean Air Force, had 3 of the top 10 posts in the climate change category on facebook. Last year (2014) Moms Clean Air Force had 3 of the top 25 posts for the year, including the #1 post (across progressive non profit organizations worldwide). (Yes, I love facebook and winning :))
No One Cares About Your Facebook Page (and neither should you!)
This week I’m re-visiting one of my most successful posts in 2014 where I wrote why organizations must stop obessing what their facebook page looks like.
What should you be doing? Instead, you need to be focussed on posting content that YOUR audience will engage with in THEIR facebook news feed.
Why? YOUR customers, members, donors, prospects, will rarely, if ever, type in your facebook page URL and spend more than 10 seconds looking at your pretty graphics and images.
YOUR customers will see your content in THEIR newsfeed (but only if you share content worth reading, sharing, liking and commenting on).
Next week? Predictions for digital and social media for 2016!.

The Holderness Family creates original music, parodies, and Vlogs to poke fun of themselves and celebrate the absurdity in circumstances most families face.
Creatives, despair! With just six weeks left in 2015, the most shared ad of the year contains nothing but found footage, according to new data from Unruly—hilarious and adorable found footage, but found footage nonetheless. But maybe that’s OK. The spot, “Friends Furever” for Google’s Android, caused a bit of consternation at first over at Droga5—the agency that created it, and which is known for creating some of the industry’s most original advertising, not just slapping together funny clips it finds on the Internet.
