At the start of the semester, I polled my students (I teach internet marketing at George Mason University) on what is the first social media app they wake up to each morning.
Almost 100% of them said Snapchat.
Anyone who uses Snapchat on a daily basis understands what “stories” are. Unfortunately for me, I don’t use Snapchat much, so I never knew what people were talking about and why they were so important to the Snap experience.
That changed a few weeks ago when Facebook rolled out their versions of “stories” in both their main mobile app as well as the fb Messenger app.
I now get it. And, I love it.
What are your thoughts on stories? What organizations are you seeing use them in innovative ways? Next week I’ll write about them!
